Licensed Beautician
Autumn House Williamsburg is seeking a Licensed Beautician!
Part Time, Contract work available.
Autumn House Williamsburg is located at 4354 Mt Hope Road, Williamsburg, MI.
Cardinal Senior Living offers the opportunity to work with a great team of professionals to ensure the residents' needs are met in a quality and safe environment.
Purpose: Ensure that all residents receive beauty shop services in-house.
Essential Functions: The following duties are considered essential to the contract. Qualified individuals must have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following duties:
- Beautician will pay monthly chair rental fee, purchase all supplies, and collect payment for services rendered.
- Provide wash, set, cut, perm, and other beautician services to residents.
- Schedule appointments.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of shop per policy and compliance guidelines.
- Maintain adequate supplies.
- Maintain updated chemical information forms.
- Promotes and encourages resident independence while maintaining resident dignity, individuality, confidentiality.
- Follow Infection Control policies for Beauty Salon.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, projects, special events, committees, and mandatory trainings as appropriate.
Requirements: Education & Knowledge Requirements- Specific education, certification, and licensure:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid State of Michigan Beautician license.
- Experience working in a senior living facility preferred but not necessary
Essential Abilities:
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to do multiple tasks, such as communicating with residents while performing other duties.
- Ability to perform the functions required to push a resident in a wheelchair.
