The Moxie Strings will be in Concert at the Music House Museum on Friday, Nov. 30th at 7 pm. These talented and dynamic performers are popular where ever they perform. Hailed by The Grand Rapids Press as “top-notch, instrumental wizardry”, Diana Ladio and Alison Lynn offer listeners the unique opportunity to experience some of the world’s best- known instruments through a new lens. The Moxie Strings will also be conducting a workshop at the Music House on the 30th for area high school orchestra students as part of their non-profit educational program, The MOX Project. This project is designed to offer musical enrichment and creative inspiration to underserved youth nationwide.
Alison performs on a electric cello and Diana on a contemporary 5-string violin. The Moxies compose the majority of their pieces and arrange melodies from many countries, resulting in a genre-blurring blend of ear-catching, and foot-stomping, rock-influenced rhythms. The band’s polished, high-energy show continues to redefine strings’ role in contemporary music, and offers audience members a fun, musical experience.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to musichouse.org or call (231)938-9300.  The museum is located just north of Traverse City at 7377 US 31.
