Rotary event - unveiling of engraved pavers

5 engraved pavers will be unveiled at the Rotary Park pavilion honoring current or former Rotarians.  This will be the 5th year for this brief ceremony.  Those being honored are:  Bill Donberg, Bill Holdsworth, Cheryl Knight, and Lee Welch (deceased).  The 5th engraved paver will read "Elk Rapids Rotary Anns".  The Rotary Ann's organization got established within many Rotary Clubs around the country as women were not included in Rotary membership until 1989.  The Elk Rapids Rotary Ann's were part of the Elk Rapids community from 1951 to 1992.  They not only supported the efforts of the Rotary Club but often ran their own fund raisers and supported various good works effort.
