Those interested in NW Lower Michigan history and archaeology are invited to attend an upcoming meeting on Monday, September 9 at 6:00 p.m. at the historic Samels Farm located at 8298 Skegemog Point Rd. in Williamsburg. The purpose of the meeting is to establish membership, meeting locations, times and dates, as well as what types of presentations and work projects are of most interest. As a chapter of the Michigan Archeological Society, the group will also decide on its official name and who will serve on its board of directors. The public is welcome. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 231.342.9571 or email tvranich68@gmail.com.
