2016 ICE BREAKERS WINTER SPEAKER SERIES:
Presented by: Joe Rathbun, Dept. of Environmental Quality and Ashley Baldridge PhD., National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Great Lakes Environment Research Lab. 
Michigan is home to 45 species of native mussels, of which 28 species  are listed as endangered, threatened or of special concern.  Joe Rathbun will discuss these fascinating creatures, the threats they face, and on-going steps to conserve them.  Ashley Baldridge will discuss the impacts of invasive zebra and quagga mussels.
