The Elk Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce with Chemical Bank will present an informative seminar on Learning How to Protect Yourself Against Fraud, Tuesday October 27^th at the Village offices, 315 Bridge Street at 7:00pm. Guest speaker Michelle Thren is a fraud investigator and a Certified Fraud Examiner.  Her purpose is to bring awareness to individuals that will help prevent fraud and assist people that have been victimized. “Education is our only prevention”.  Her areas of expertise include cyber security, signs of identity theft, how to respond to identity theft, fraud, various fraud schemes, and how to avoid fraud. Please join us for this educational discussion and to share ideas with other concerned community members.
