Are you interested in distilling? Would you like to learn more about this ancient art? Here is your chance!
Our head distiller Geri is holding a basic distilling workshop at Ethanology February 10, 2018. Geri will cover basic topics of distillation in this first educational course.
Topics Incude:
-Milling & mash bill selection
-Fermentation; chemistry and additions
-Distillation; intro to still types and operation
-Cuts & product types
-Intro to maturation
-Safety ...
-Legal considerations
-Q&A
This educational course will take approximately 2.5hrs, and admission is $40. All participants will receive 15% off cocktails, and are encouraged to bring a laptop or notepad. ****Class is limited to 10 people and reservations are required! Please call or stop in to the distillery to purchase tickets!****
A follow up 1/2 day workshop, and a full day workshop will be offered for those who want to take a deeper dive into the science and art of distillation at a later date.
