April 21 Coffee and Conversation with Green Elk Rapids

Start your Saturday in good company! Join the Green Elk Rapids committee for an informal discussion and Earth Day orientation. Celebrating ten years as a volunteer organization, they are soliciting input on future programs. John Nelson, Bay Keeper Emeritus, will facilitate the discussion.
Learn about Earth Day’s 2018 theme Ending Plastic Pollution, hear research specialist Bonnie Hamilton review the status of plastics in Lake Michigan, see one man’s solution to plastic garbage, and preview A Plastic Ocean, showing the next day, 1:00 p.m., at Elk Rapids Cinema.
Coffee, tea, etc. Bring your own mug and save a Styrofoam cup!
