Annual Monarch Butterfly Migration
Cyndie Roach is the curator of Grand Traverse Butterfly House & Bug Zoo in Williamsburg, MI, whose mission is to educate, engage and entertain and where visitors are able to walk among the butterflies and learn about how they serve the environment. The Butterfly House and Bug Zoo also educates guests about invertebrates, (not just insects), their purpose and usefulness, along with the need for their preservation. Cyndie will describe the annal thousand-mile migration of monarch butterflies. Film of their spring departure from hibernation in Mexico and of their fall departure from Michigan will be shown.
